In these circumstances, a moisture vapor barrier, or MVB product should be applied to provide superior protection against moisture intrusion from beneath the slab. These products are generally a specially formulated epoxy product designed to handle 15-25 pounds of moisture vapor pressure while polyaspartic coatings will generally fail in the presence of as little as one pound of moisture vapor pressure.
